They dont just hand those out; theres a lot of work that goes into getting one of those. So I can understand why theyre upset about it, for me, personally, I think the ring is something that everyone takes with them and thats a special piece you can carry with you forever. Theres only one trophy that gets made. That might be more important to the manager than anybody. But at the end of the season, as a team, getting to hold that thing up is pretty special. I understand where their frustration comes in.

Our offense gave me a lot of energy and a lot of confidence to go out there and do what we did.

Just didn’t have a great arsenal to work with, the walks obviously hurt me a lot. Just a lot of wasted pitches, a lot of extended innings. I made the night a lot harder on myself than I needed to.

Everyone is in that lull right now of feeling we can’t get things right, underperforming the last month and a half has really set us back.

This meant everything to me, it’s been so long since we’ve had a full crowd in there, I swear to God it felt like a playoff game at the start of the game, the nerves I had, the intensity. I had to kind of slow myself down after that first hitter. It was just so much fun, and to pull out the win the way we did makes it even more special.
