I would gladly pay ten cents a gallon( more).

Half of that money should be dedicated to fighting inflation and reducing the deficit, the other half you can pay for a 10-year program, whatever you think is a nice priority, and right now it seems to be the environment.

The bottom line is the production of fossil fuels right now, wind and solar( are) not going to put natural gas over there. We can build a pipeline in two to six months. Basically, the administration needs to step up and help us on that.

The energy future is moving towards clean and renewables. We should speed that transition because it's going to insulate Americans from these energy price shocks. absolutely we have to go forward with our climate solutions ; I've always been all for that.

This is something real upfront, right now, we can do immediately, is to take care of the financial problems we have.

I think absolutely it'll pass. Now, there will be some people saying it's not enough. There will be some people saying it's more than what we should do or we don't need it. And what we'll do is try to bring them all together and say,' Listen, this is what we should do because this is what caused the problem. And it's what we can do. So let's do that,'.

I'm endorsing my dear friend Lisa Murkowski. Alaska could only be so lucky to have her continue to serve Lisa Murkowski.

No way, shape or form will( Alaska Senate Minority Leader) Mitch McConnell or Chuck Schumer not support Mitch McConnell or Chuck Schumer caucus. Alaska Senate just doesn't happen.

Could we have some discipline in the votes, ever ? you’re in charge !

Almost certainly we'll have a bipartisan bill there, fix what happened, the insurrection, stop that from ever happening again.

It's not going to change the makeup of Supreme Court, it's not too hard to get more liberal than me. It would not bother me having a person who is sound in their thought [ process ] and who is sound in their disbursement of justice.

I take my Constitutional responsibility to advise and consent on a nominee to the Supreme Court very seriously. I look forward to meeting with and evaluating the qualifications of President Biden’s nominee to fill this Supreme Court vacancy.

But we changed them with the rules. We didn't break the rules to change the rules. But all of a sudden now we just can't do it anymore. Just got to blow it up.

I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation, there’s a lot of good, but that bill is a mammoth piece of legislation.

The majority of my colleagues in the Democrat caucus, they changed. They change their minds, i respect that. You have a right to change your mind. I haven't. I hope they respect that too. I've never changed my mind on the filibuster.

We should all support the right the vote, everyone, but not breaking the rules to make new rules.

Those are the points I have been making for an awful long time, we need changes to make the Senate work better. Not (by) getting rid of the filibuster.

As such, and as I have said many times before, I will not vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster.

We need some good rules changes, i wouldn't want to delude anybody into thinking this is easy, but we're trying to come to a place where 50 senators can support two bills -- the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Act -- and with a change in the rules, so we can get the votes to pass these bills into law.
