This bear has shown us where she wants to be, so lets see if we can do a better job coexisting with her by being more vigilant with food attractants, the bear is currently minding its own business and staying out of trouble west of Hanover, NH.

Not all animals that eat chocolate will automatically die, but it is clearly evident that wild animals can consume enough chocolate to reach a lethal dose.

We don't want to allow a bear population where people start to lose appreciation for them and they are seen as pests. That is what happened with deer. We want bears to be seen in a positive light.

People were recreating a little more, there was more interest in hunting just because people weren’t at work as much, and they were at home.

When you get very little food or just one species producing, bears become a little bit more predictable, or a lot more predictable, in a year like this when there are just acorns, if you’re a hunter, you’re going to be hunting in acorns. That’s where the bears are.
