I was tested a lot. I think we both were just testing each other, it's just that type of match where anyone could have won.

I thought that the first set, I definitely was in control. In the second set, she raised her level and I wasn't able to finish the set.

It meant a lot, there was a lot of pressure when I first came onto the tour and to finally break through to a Grand Slam final felt really great. While I didn’t get the result I wanted, this experience has given me confidence for the next time I am in that position.

I just remember walking out on the court blasting music with my head held down because I didn't want to look at the crowd, it was such a long walk from the locker room. It was, like, 15 minutes.

It almost brings me to tears.

You got to give yourself a pat on the back sometimes when you do something good, even though it’s such a simple thing, it’s something that really stuck with me.
