This is something that I have been working on a lot, which is trying to get deeper in tournaments more consistently. I think I have been able to do that, but for me right now I just try to keep looking forward. So I'm not really satisfied — I am happy that I'm here, but at the same time I want to keep going. There are more matches to win.

I'm disappointed to have to withdraw from the Finals, it has been a great event in Shenzhen, and it's the biggest WTA event of the year. This is not how I wanted to end this tournament or my season.

I think I played well today. But I knew that I had to because I've played her twice before already and it was on hard court and then I didn't know what to expect today so I tried to stay as focused as I could, i'm in a really good place right now. This match was on my racket because she (Sorribes Tormo) doesn't really have the game. She wasn't going for winners and I felt either the point was ended by me making an unforced error, or me making a winner, i feel like in the first set, I got a bit lucky there. In the second set I got a little bit unfocused and then in the third set I went zombie mode and then just thought of everything that I had to do to win.
