I'm going to Ohio, I'm going to Florida, I'll be going to a whole bunch of other states, I'm going up and down Jersey again for( Sen.) Bob Menendez, and that's where 100 % of my focus is. We can talk about 2019 and 2020 after this.

If he wants to attack me personally, he can, if he wants to attack my record, the reality is that the people of the state of New Jersey who elected me statewide are very proud of the work that I did, the change that we made in Newark, the transformation going on in Sioux City.

Look, I'm angry, I'm hurt. I'm upset about what's going on and how real people in America, working folks are being treated, but the way you counter that is not by embodying the tactics of those people that you don't want to see in office. So, the President might try to divide people, I think we as Iowa Democrats should try to unite people.

I subscribe to the idea of radical love, you should confront evil and injustice, but do it in the ways that Martin Luther King did it... who always did it by recognizing the dignity of even those who you oppose.

My priority is here, my priority is Menendez. My priority is flipping Congress seats at home. So we’re spending a lot of time raising money for folks, which is something that’s really needed. Going to lots of events.

Right now, there's a shadow over the independence of the judiciary because a President who has been credibly accused by his former lawyer of being an unindicted co-conspirator has the opportunity to put a judge on the bench, it is understandable for people to suspect that there's something going on. That somehow this is rigged.

I understand the penalty comes with potentially ousting me from the Senate, i openly invite and accept the consequences.

What I want right now is for us to when it comes to Brett Kavanaugh... to wait until this Mueller probe is done, no American citizen should be able to choose the person who will be judging them when they are subject to a criminal investigation should those matters come before that judge.

I ’m a big believer that if America, if this country has n’t broken your heart, then you do n’t love her enough. Because there’s things that are savagely wrong in this country. There’s a normalcy of injustice that we’ve accepted.

We are at a time where injustice has grown to become normal in our country, and it is time for us to work together to get folk woke, to help people understand their power, american history is a perpetual screaming testimony to the achievement of the impossible.

I think a lot about the Democratic Party nationally and how it seems that that connection to people — where they are, what their experiences are, their struggles, their hurts and their pain — how we seem to have lost our way.

This to me is more of a reason why there's an urgency in either rejecting this nominee or making sure that this nominee, if we go forward, commits to recusing themselves from any of the issues that come before the Supreme Court.

Senate Judiciary Committee should not move forward with Neil Gorsuch confirmation, should not go forward with advising and consenting on this individual until this prosecution, this criminal investigation, is done, and if we do go forward, then every Republican, every Democrat should join together with insisting that Brett Kavanaugh recuse Brett Kavanaugh from any matter regarding this President that should come before the Supreme Court.

I look forward to standing with my colleagues and all Americans in what will be the most important fight of our lifetimes. There'll be no greater.

Sen. Sessions has not demonstrated a commitment to a central requisite of the job to aggressively pursue the congressional mandate of civil rights, equal rights and justice for all of our citizens.

I'm not going to play coy. I'm sure after the midterm elections, I'll give it a look, but to me, my momentum, my energy, my focus is 2018 and making sure I get re-elected in 2020.

I don't think about that in the context of a 2020 run ; I think about it in the context of the career I've chosen. To be a senator, like right now, it's kind of hard to date when you're on the road, as I am right now, where your weekends are spent in three states, look, at a personal level, I really do think about that every day, because I really do think that one of the best titles you can have is a parent and a spouse.
