The timing is not just suspect, it is obvious. The riot was two years ago, and he times his indictments of officers two weeks before the election, not one of the officers I have spoken to are worried about a conviction. This case is beyond preposterous.

This simply about politics and a political agenda that is taking place with these radical liberal district attorneys, if they can't defund us and get rid of us that way—now they're going to try and de-police us by sending us to prison and indicting us.

He's had two years to go through and move forward with this, but he waits till right now, waits until a primary that's taking place, i'm not gonna be intimidated by that.

We were responding to a riot, people throwing Molotov cocktails at us, frozen water bottles, bottles filled with urine, bottles full of gasoline, and they were engaging in criminal activity by obstructing the passage road that goes to the main hospital.

Look at our homicide rates, they’re through the roof right now.

This guy felt emboldened, look what he does, he goes across state lines and kidnaps a kid with a learning disability and brings him back to Texas and sexually assaults him, that's not OK. People should be shocked by that. If that doesn't shock your conscience I don't know what will.

When the city of Austin defunded us by a third of our budget they also cut 150 officer positions, they always talk about how they gave the money back, but they didn’t give the positions back.
