There is an enormous amount we don't know about this current strain and outbreak of Zika virus. It seems to be behaving differently than in the past, what we do know for sure is if the fetal brain is affected this appears to be a very bad situation.

What really matters is whether there is evidence of changes in the brain to suggest injury in the context of a proven viral infection in the mother, that is where MRI is the gold standard for picking up changes in the brain, even though it has limitations in terms of availability and cost.

In some cases we have to hike up high into the mountain, there's no roads, so everything that we need needs to be carried in. Some places we even have to carry the water to water the seedlings when we plant them. It is hard work, but I have a dedicated team.

I have to believe that the efforts that we are putting in will, and is, showing results and it is making a difference, even a small difference is a difference.
