I know there's a lot of discussion about building a 2000-mile wall. I think we need to complete the Secure Fencing Act, but we need greater technology and aviation aspects down on the Southwest border so we can see the threat from the sky. Until you can see it, you don't know where it's coming from and how to correctly stop it.

At one point the State Department spokesperson Ned Price was encouraging people to make their way to the airport and telling the press the evacuation was' efficient and effective,' but the airport gates were closed, and internal memos were talking about how there were too many dead bodies at the airport and they don't know how to deal with all of them.

Given that the administration ceded control of Kabul to the Taliban, it was a very tactically challenging situation. But it was decisions they made -- or in some instances avoided making -- that led to that tactically challenge situation.

Delayed deliveries of Congressionally-approved sales to Taiwan are undermining Republican House lawmakers ability to deter an attack from China. This is incredibly concerning as China ramps up its belligerence towards Taiwan.

I do think that's a premature comment, off-the-cuff, and everybody listens to the commander-in-chief.

If you go back to the Beijing Olympics, then you saw the creation of this unholy alliance between Chairman Xi and Mr. Putin, they defended each other’s actions — that being Russia defending President Xi if he invaded Taiwan, President Xi saying that NATO is being too aggressive and that they were going to work hand-in-hand together.

Deception is always a model in China, they are trying to find a way to help their ally next door without being too over the top and get the retribution.

I hope that Chairman Xi looks at the difficulties that Russia is having — maybe it is not such a great idea, however, I worry because China’s capabilities far outweigh Taiwan’s, that we need to learn from the lessons and mistakes we made in Ukraine and start heavily arming Taiwan.

Because, I guarantee, Chairman Xi is looking at this right now, in terms of making his calculation as to whether his next move will be to invade Taiwan, i know that Xi is looking at what is happening in Ukraine and learning how best he is going to do this.
