We have to start appreciating each other's humanity, we have to think of ourselves as a caring nation that cares for our fellow citizens regardless of race, ethnicity or class.

When you see white working-class Americans saying that I'm benefiting and my family is getting help from the Affordable Care Act, you start to hear 'repair' not 'repeal,' whites standing up in support of a policy changes the dynamics of the conversation.

You don't even have to say you're referring to brown or black people, just say it's the federal government getting bigger and helping people who don't want to work.
