You have got to build trust first by demonstrating commitment. You have to be disciplined in planning. You can't shoot from the hip and then pull a plan together – no way, at the start (of my career) I talked a lot; I was selling too much. Later I learned to listen.

Part of me sees that as flattering but there is a difference in that I am not a one-man show, i have a great team, people who have grown in the business and are very cohesive. We are a pack at the leadership and we are a pack at the sales level.

We have been .. going round the clock to make sure we are working through whatever is needed for customers and the return to service.

My opinion based on the orders we have is that there could be room to go above 60 (per month), as high as 63, but we don't need to make a decision now and possibly not for a couple of years.

If you look at what is being produced now it is approaching 50 percent on A321, i have already gone back to our programme people and said we need the capability of going to 60 percent.

I think if we are going to do it we should do it this year because we don’t want to let Boeing have too much of a run with the 777-9X. They are bringing their airplane out in 2020 and we shouldn't be that far behind them.

Very large aircraft are required over next 20 years, we can't just increase efficiency.

It does appear that we have more than enough overbooking to comfortably cover rates above 50, perhaps above 60 (a month).
