We want to see a refit of some of the structures of the Belfast Agreement to reflect the new emerging relationships – both between Northern Ireland and the Republic as well as between the United Kingdom and the Republic, updated arrangements to take account of any new Brexit deal secured would allow the new environment to be managed in a pro-active and democratic manner.

There are many, many reasons why couldn't in all conscience support a Jeremy Corbyn-led administration.

The Brexit negotiations have dominated our politics for three years. We need to respect the referendum result. The democratic decision has been made, whether in London or Brussels or indeed Dublin, now is the time to work for a sensible deal. The intransigence of the last three years must be left behind or else we are destined for a WTO exit in October.

The European Union has once again shown it is prepared to use Northern Ireland when it suits their interests but in the most despicable manner – over the provision of a vaccine which is designed to save lives.

We all know how divisive a border poll would be, and for us in Northern Ireland what we have to do at the moment is all come together to fight against COVID.

It's a retrograde step for our society.
