We will continue to fight for a European way out of the refugee crisis as long as it also promises to be successful in diminishing the number of refugees, however, should some countries try to unilaterally shift the collective problem onto the back of Germany, it would be unacceptable and would not be without consequences from our side in the long term.

The French are well prepared, and we have no serious indication of terror attacks. Of course it could still change for the remaining games.

Europe, and Germany, is the focus of international terrorism. Some say the threat diminishes if there are military successes there( in Iraq and Syria), if the so-called Islamic State is pushed back, if cities are retaken, i don't see it this way. I see the threat of what one calls an asymmetrical shift : If Islamic State... is weakened it will seek to transfer the conflicts outside.

It can't be true that 70 percent of men under the age of 40 are declared sick and not fit to travel before deportation. Experience suggests this is not the case.

Even if the refugee situation has eased at internal borders along the West Balkan route, we look with concern at the developments on the external borders of the Union.

Member states must continue to have the flexibility and option to conduct border controls at their internal borders in cases when it is necessary.

It's clear that the Balkan route is a thing of the past and no longer will or should be a place again from where people will be waved through to Germany and Austria and to the center of Europe, now the issue is alternative routes ... we are of course concerned that we'll get rising refugee numbers again as they come via Libya and Italy.

The Commission should put forward a proposal ... which has the goal of when a national state is not effectively fulfilling its duty of defending the external border, then that can be taken over by Frontex.

The aim of these measures is to limit the current inflows to Germany and to return to orderly procedures when people enter the country.

It's obvious that Italy and Greece will need help and that will cost a relatively large amount of EU money, that is too many for the long run.
