I'm not optimistic that the Department of Justice will voluntarily comply with the two outstanding subpoenas that are there.

At this point there is no deal to be made, for us, immigration and farm bill go together. ... Freedom Caucus was very supportive of continuing conversations with leadership, but at this point there aren't enough votes for the farm bill.

We have a legitimate request that has been made to the Department of Justice and the FBI, and we have them saying that they will not comply, so we have two branches that are at odds. Last time I checked, the laws are on our side.

I'm not in favor of those numbers, because it grows the size of government by 13 percent, but those numbers have been agreed to.
