You can't help but see the testimony we've received over the last week or so and call into question Rod Rosenstein's candor, based on multiple conversations that we've had, it's apparent Rod Rosenstein did intend to at one point tape the President of the United States. And that's troubling.

At this particular point, Rod Rosenstein's priorities are misplaced, for his unwillingness to come before Congress and allow us to conduct proper congressional oversight, it's time that Rod Rosenstein steps down. Rod Rosenstein should do so immediately. And in doing that, I think it would serve the country well, it would serve this President well.

All of that came to an agreement where we felt like not doing a privileged motion today would be most prudent... and yet brings us all together the first week in September if they do not comply, the speaker is willing to support Chairman Goodlatte in a contempt process if the agreed upon documents are not delivered.

Information has been hidden, efforts have been stonewalled, i guess for us, it's all about transparency so the American people can judge for themselves. They may be able to ignore Congress but they can't ignore the American people.
