GIPEC created an artificial Instagram feed by following only objectionable content and some brand accounts. And while the fact that they were able to create it in the first place shows we still have work to do, this kind of manufactured feed is not a real representation of what most people see on Instagram.

Over the last two years, more and more people have been using Facebook to discover products and to buy and sell things to one another, we are continuing to develop, test, and launch new products to make this experience even better for people and are updating our regulated goods policies to reflect this evolution.

I'm a strong proponent of chronological ranking, ordering by time, because I think we don't want computers deciding what we focus on.

Our teams are working around the clock to look for potential threats both on and off of Facebook and Instagram so we can protect peaceful protests and limit content that could lead to civil unrest or violence.

We are training our teams in applying those policies, and it'll be my team looking at that content as we make those decisions.
