[Trump becoming president] worries the hell out of me because he's displayed this short fuse, if he doesn't like something he's going to yell or he's going to be belittle someone or he's going to make demeaning remarks to different races, to women, to whoever he's disagrees with. I've said it many times before, I think we'd been a lot better shape with women running just about everything, in all sincerity, it is power. The show has always been power. It's set in the political world, but this show is about power and then you see women having this power, And, I don't know, I thought that was really cool.

I watched the GOP debate ... and it was madness. I was blown away, and I keep thinking to myself: Wow, if Beau Willimon and the writing staff had a character like Donald Trump on our show -- if we had put a character out there, not named him Donald Trump, and that was someone who was legitimately running for office on our show, I think people would accuse us of jumping the shark.

I can't, for the life of me understand why the youth isn't getting up and supporting her the way that we rallied behind President Barack Obama, i will do anything that Hillary Clinton needs me to do.

[In season 4] I try to put in this layer of [Doug] being somewhat vulnerable from what happened with Rachel, i think that's something he's always going to carry with him.

It's really neat that we have both primaries going at the same time but I'm just blown away on a daily basis that [the 2016 race] is getting more outlandish than our own show.

I've never heard Donald Trump say that he watches 'House of Cards,' but I'd be really shocked if he didn't because he appears to be copying Frank more than we're copying the current administration.

Back when Donald Trump was just starting in the primaries, and I was asked, 'What do you think of Trump?' I would say, 'Donald Trump is a great example of someone in our country being able to truly do anything. You can dream, you can do it. And that's a great example of that. But when the primaries are over, Donald Trump will be gone.'

I've done so many jobs. As an actor, you have to. I didn't have my parents footing the bill when I moved to New York. I moved here with, like, 300 bucks. I was a bike messenger. I was a waiter. I was a bartender. I worked in a consignment shop for high-end designers.
