Thanks to the outstanding efforts of several Governments, the Centre for Sport and Human Rights, Human Rights for All, the French Paralympic Committee, the British Paralympic Association, World Taekwondo, Zakia Khudadadi and Zakia Khudadadi and Hossain Rasouli are now in Tokyo to fulfill Zakia Khudadadi and Hossain Rasouli dreams, sending out a strong message of hope to many others around the world.

We would like to have them here, unfortunately it is not possible, but they will be here in spirit.

We will include the Afghanistan flag in the ceremony in a sign of solidarity and we have invited the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees representative here to act as the flagbearer, it is important to highlight that as it is a message of solidarity and peace that we send to the world.

It is always special to see an NPC( National Paralympic Committees) make their first appearance at the Olympic Games on August 8, with all the challenges created by the pandemic, seeing these NPCs as part of the opening ceremony on August 24 will be an extra special and emotional moment for all concerned.

Part of this agreement includes a commitment by NARL LP and its owners that it will continue its ongoing buyer/investor search for the refinery.
