Social media for many individuals has been a powerful platform for us to get our messages out when traditional media chooses not to cover us, this has not been a problem that major police departments face.

We believe that Biden's Cabinet appointments are just the starting point for a slate of demands that Black people and other people of color have, for us, diversity is just table stakes. It's like the baseline thing that needs to happen.

We saw that very different outcomes were realized by Black people killed by police violence, based on the prosecutors elected in their jurisdictions.

The way Keith Ellison is handling the murder of George Floyd versus the way Daniel Cameron is handling Breonna Taylor is a prime example of actually having prosecutors in place who share your values and are accountable to Black people.
