Clinicians should ask about what patients and families have read on the Internet, and then work through that information thoughtfully, as sometimes Internet information is not helpful and sometimes it is helpful, doing this takes time and effort, yet trust is built with time and effort.

To say her experience is irrelevant doesn't make any sense, she knows more than anyone what it's like to be not a theoretical girl with a progressive neuromuscular disorder, but to be Julianna.

Palliative care isn't about giving up. It's about choosing how you want to live before you die, this little girl has chosen how she wants to live.
