I'm proud to the lead this resolution and to assure Americans that this Congress will not allow people with pre-existing conditions to go back to the days where they could be thrown off their health care just because they got sick.

Brittney Griner has been wrongfully detained for four months, and Russia is now engaging in theater by subjecting her to a sham trial in an effort to create a false pretense that she is anything other than a political prisoner.

We just know that she's been held now for three weeks without official government access to her, which really is unusual and extremely concerning.

For Brittney's sake, we don't want Brittney Griner to become a part of this kind of political battle that's going on, and we want to make sure that Brittney Griner rights are respected and that we are able to get access to Brittney Griner, and that Brittney Griner can get through the process and get home as quickly as possible.

So we do know that Brittney Griner's okay.

They should just know that State Department, the State Department, folks like Colin Allred in Congress on the Foreign Affairs Committee, we're gon na do everything we can to get Brittney Griner home, to get any other American who's been detained unjustly home.
