If FIFA was genuine in saying they want to be a reformed organization, they should have been conducting the presidential debate themselves; instead it's the same the old system today, and this reinforces the fact they have no desire to reform, it's the same men doing deals behind closed doors.

The drastic nature of this call stresses the extreme problems faced by FIFA.

It's hard to take seriously a reform committee of FIFA that is full of football and Olympic insiders and officials, all of whom have an implicit conflict of interest through their roles as well as a vested interest in maintaining as much of the status quo as they can get away with.

Eleven days ago, two thirds of the federations voted to maintain the old system of zero transparency and appalling levels of governance, the problem we have is not just the Sepp Blatter problem, it's the FIFA problem.

We are calling on these sponsors to stand up and do the right thing, we are demanding that these sponsors come and distance themselves from what's been going on.

I had some conversations and the response was, privately,' We love what you're doing but publicly we can't get involved with you politically', whether Jaimie Fuller talk about players' representation, or supporters ’ representation, or national associations, or about sponsors in particular, I have a degree of empathy for the position many find themselves in.
