We hoped that the NCAL would be much stronger, would provide sector-wise targets, specific targets for the cities and mention a strong legal backing to take action against non- implementation, we hope that the environment ministry shows more seriousness in implementing and strengthening the plan.

It is happening internationally and now has started percolating to India too, though it's at a very early stage, corporates and industries are a big source of all kinds of pollution in India, so much more serious thoughts, policies and actions are required from them.
