As of today, our public health data show that Boston is officially below the 3 critical thresholds for heightened Covid protections, so we are lifting the proof of vaccination requirement, this news highlights the progress we've made in our fight against Covid-19 thanks to vaccines boosters -- which have always been our most effective weapon against the pandemic. It's a win for every Bostonian doing our part to keep our communities safe, and we have to keep going.

This has a potential to be a historic storm, a huge one, we are expecting as much as 18 to 24 inches of snow and 40 to 50 mile per hour winds. This is likely to be an intense, dangerous storm, with heavy snow, high winds and whiteout conditions.

Earlier today, I pointed out several hurdles facing communities of color with lower vaccination rates, these hurdles should not be excuses, but we must consider our shared history as we work to ensure an equitable public health and economic recovery.

Anyone in position of leadership should be using that position to build trust in vaccines.
