As of today, our public health data show that Boston is officially below the 3 critical thresholds for heightened Covid protections, so we are lifting the proof of vaccination requirement, this news highlights the progress we've made in our fight against Covid-19 thanks to vaccines boosters -- which have always been our most effective weapon against the pandemic. It's a win for every Bostonian doing our part to keep our communities safe, and we have to keep going.

As a BPS mom, it’s deeply personal for me that each and every one of our children will be safe and feel supported in our schools, on their commutes to school, and throughout our neighborhoods, we are partnering with public safety and health agencies, the state, and community organizations on incident response time and community support systems.

It is heartbreaking as a mom to think that any of our young people are making that decision knowing full well what it means, and I take responsibility and urgency in making sure that we can ease that decision because no child should ever have to think that way.

The public health data shows that we’re ready to take this step in our recovery, this news highlights how much progress we’ve made in our fight against COVID-19 thanks to vaccines and boosters – which have always been our most effective weapon against the pandemic.

This has a potential to be a historic storm, a huge one, we are expecting as much as 18 to 24 inches of snow and 40 to 50 mile per hour winds. This is likely to be an intense, dangerous storm, with heavy snow, high winds and whiteout conditions.

Vaccination is our most powerful tool in this ongoing public health emergency, and we look forward to filing our response with the court.

From every corner of our city, Boston has spoken. We are ready to meet this moment. We are ready to become a Boston for everyone, i want to be clear, it wasn't my vision on the ballot, it was ours, together.

The police alone will never be able to eradicate violence in the city by themselves. Yes, we need them to show up for the tough calls, and to hold them accountable, of course, and support them in that work.

Earlier today, I pointed out several hurdles facing communities of color with lower vaccination rates, these hurdles should not be excuses, but we must consider our shared history as we work to ensure an equitable public health and economic recovery.

Anyone in position of leadership should be using that position to build trust in vaccines.
