I don’t know if they’ll factor into the elections, but certainly, we know, what has happened with the invasion of the Ukraine, and the sanctions of the things that we’re going to have to do are painful.

To watch yesterday Russia invade a maternity ward and watch what happened with those babies is painful.

This is not the kind of America that we are going to accept for our children and grandchildren.

Who should be afraid are those who won't stand up for voting rights. So we're sending a clarion call, and you can print this – shame on you for not doing it, so it's not what's going to happen to us, it's what's going to happen to them.

Today, I had the honor of taking eight members of the Congressional Black Caucus and leadership directly to the White House, and part of that was to speak to those deplorable photos and ask why that all those recognized riding horses using their reins to chase down Haitians like they were cattle and goats to be suspended, terminated.

We have never witnessed people who looked like me to be treated the way those Haitians were.

It is a slim majority, and we need a team player, we need somebody who's willing to say they will set aside their own showmanship, their own ego, their own platform if inconsistent with the Democratic platform.

I was there because I wanted the young protesters to know that in solidarity, that I stand with them, joyce Beatty know, I'm a grandmother, I'm an elected official, but I'm a black woman first and I felt the pain.

We came out there to support them and be with them, it was just something in my heart thinking about George Floyd, thinking about all of the injustices, that I needed to be out there, thinking I was protecting them and it probably was not safe.

. . We must continue to protest, but it must be peaceful and that does not mean we aren't standing up for justice.
