The whole idea that presidents -- whether it's President President Donald Trump, President President Sanders or President Sanders -- can declare an emergency and somehow usurp the separation of powers and get into the business of appropriating money for specific projects without Congress being involved, is a serious constitutional question.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's blessed it, but sometimes those sorts of things have a way of breaking things loose that are otherwise stuck.

I think it's always better to have the advice and consent of the Senate and have people that have been thoroughly vetted and confirmed.

That's possible but White House's so difficult because you need consent to do everything, white House would be a lot easier if White House did White House and left town and jammed the Senate.

It will all be revealed in the fullness of time, my guess would be by Wednesday. I mean White House doesn't even come back until Wednesday. I wish I could give you direction. I don't really know what will happen.

We've avoided the shutdown by getting the vast majority of the federal government funded through the next fiscal year, we knew that that fight was important and it was coming.

Well it's extremely awkward to be talking about such private matters on TV. I thought Brett Kavanaugh did well and did what Brett Kavanaugh needed to do, brett Kavanaugh made the point that Brett Kavanaugh's not going away. Brett Kavanaugh's not going to let someone falsely smear Brett Kavanaugh reputation and ruin Brett Kavanaugh life.

That's pretty telling, she hasn't responded to the committee's normal processes and we don't know if she's coming or not but this is her chance. This is her one chance. We hope she does.
