I was able to get through the field and get this Lowe's ProServices Chevy up front. Those last few restarts I was able to hang on and duke it out with those guys and get a nice, top-three finish.

Were running out of days and if we miss it, its going to be by a few (points) I believe, i can look back over the first half of the season and see a lot of races where we gave away a few points.

This track is unlike any other track, as we all know, with the surface and bumps and the character, my focus has been to get drivability right and then make speed a secondary item. Well see how it all plays out. This package is so new to all of us.

I definitely think it gives you a sign of who's going to be competitive, i feel really good coming here and having this kind of showing. What we did here, we can take to a lot of the racetracks ahead.

Our sport is going to be different without him, for 23 years he's been such a force on the track. Our sport is not going to necessarily suffer from (Gordon's retirement), but it's just not the same. It's Jeff Gordon.

When you're struggling, you almost have a shotgun approach, and you're trying to hit a wide pattern and see what brings speed, when you unload off the truck and you're fast, you get much more into like a rifle scenario and you're very precise with the changes you make, and there's a lot of speed in the details.

I race my teammates with the most respect I possibly can, every race I've been in, I've given way, that was really the first time I fought for position and felt like I should have been up there passing( Dixon). Today I had it in me and I raced clean, hard, and just had an awesome day.

I’m not sure where that has come from. It has not been in any discussions I’ve had or thought processes I’ve had, what I’ve been doing has been so much fun and enjoyable. Continue to get better. Certainly hope to do something similar again next year.

I want to go to Le Mans. But I think so much hinges on the schedule being released to understand if I can, i know that there’s interest. I certainly have a ton of interest to do it. We’re just waiting for that first domino to fall.

We’re still in this phase with IndyCar, sports car or any other ideas I have to go racing. Everything right now is people are just starting to talk about options, it’s usually end of summer, beginning of fall when paper starts moving around and people are looking to ink stuff and get it done. We’re just early in the cycle, and I’m certainly trying to keep my options open.

A six-hour race with three drivers, there’s not a lot of drive time, period, i think the time I spend in the car ultimately depends on my pace.
