It is unconscionable for the Trump Administration to acknowledge that these individuals are working without pay and with no end in sight, but will not make the smallest effort to help them by allowing states to offer unemployment insurance benefits, dC wants to do more and we are willing to step up. These employees continue to work, they're taking on the cost of commuting to work, yet, they're not getting paid nor are they receiving any financial assistance.

You have a mayor who hates guns. If it was up to me, we wouldn’t have any handguns in the District of Columbia. I swear to protect the Constitution and what the courts say, but I will do it in the most restrictive way as possible.

I support building a soccer stadium in the District of Columbia, and I support investing public dollars to get it done.

We know what this title means to DC, a true baseball town, from the Senators to the Grays and now the Nationals, by finishing the fight you have brought a tremendous amount of joy to our town and inspired a new generation of players and Nationals fans.

Now, I hear there's somebody who lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that's taking credit for our progress, well, let me tell you who's responsible for our progress. Look around you.

Yup, I'm Muriel Bowser, mayor of Washington DC, the local politician who finally got thru to the reality star in the White House with the realities( $ 21.6 M) of parades/events/demonstrations in Trump America( sad).

One missing young person, is one too many, and these new initiatives will help us do more to find and protect young people, particularly young girls of color, across our city, through social media, we have been able to highlight this problem and bring awareness to open cases, and now we are doing more to ensure that families and children are receiving the wraparound services they need to keep families together and children safe.

We are now 36 hours into the big digout.

We have throughout this storm encouraged our residents to stay off the streets, and for the most part they have heeded that, they prepared to hunker down, and they did.

We certainly have been preparing for this blizzard all week, which is going to drop a huge amount of snow on the District of Columbia that we haven't really seen in 90 years.
