The recent pattern in Hong Kong has been a sharp rebound following many sluggish sessions, but the index will then go lower gain, if the U.S. raises rates again, that would certainly have a negative impact on Hong Kong stocks, and investors are fully aware of that.

The Hong Kong stock market has already reacted in anticipation, money flows in the market, in particular of funds in Hong Kong-listed China companies, have started to transfer to those ADR companies, which affect the liquidity of the Hong Kong market.

People are covering back their short positions as sentiment has been too bearish earlier, but I wouldn't be very bullish as the overall economic picture remains bad.

The tax cut is good news, as it raises hopes that China will unveil similar stimulus in other sectors, but I don't think more stimulus would reverse the market trend, because China's severe structural problems cannot be solved overnight.
