We have to learn everything we can when we're 250 miles away [on the moon] so that when we go to Mars, we have a plan and know what we're going to do.

People to a degree think it's pretty glamorous to be able to go into space, but it's actually like a messy camping trip.

We built the two white solid rocket boosters and provide about 75% of the launch thrust of the vehicle, it's an incredible amount of power for that first 2 minutes and 6 seconds or so to get the vehicle out of the thicker part of the atmosphere and send it on its way to the moon.

This is just one effect, that we can show for the ages, in this dark time that we have had over the last few months, to kind of inspire, especially these young people in the United States.

Everybody did great today. It was a great practice, and we'll do it again on Saturday.

Bob and I have been working on this program for five years, day in and day out, it's been a marathon in many ways, and that's what you'd expect to develop a human-rated space vehicle that can go to and from the International Space Station.
