When we are faced with an exceptional situation that puts jobs at risk, that puts our international reputation on the line, our government is prepared to take action.

So our message today is simple: when we are faced with an exceptional situation that puts jobs at risk, that puts our international reputation on the line, our government is prepared to take action.

That specific risk (Horgan's opposition) is a risk that for a private sector player is impossible to deal with. They can't negotiate between governments, we see that as something we can actually indemnify. Other business risks are other business risks - anybody going into the business of building pipelines recognizes other risks.

We are willing to indemnify the Trans Mountain expansion against unnecessary delays that are politically motivated.

We will be bringing forth an economic and fiscal update over the course of the near term, it is our intent to do something in that regard in this calendar year.
