While I won't condemn those that made those hard calls, and I have noted the valuable intelligence collected, the program ultimately did damage to our officers and our standing in the world, with the benefit of hindsight and my experience as a senior Agency leader, the enhanced interrogation program is not one the CIA should have undertaken. I'm not going to sit here with the benefit of hindsight and judge the very good people who made hard decisions who were running the agency in very extraordinary circumstances at the time.

Senator, I would advise — I do not believe The President would ask me to do that, but um, we have today in the Gina Haspel government other Gina Haspel entities that conduct interrogations, i would advise anyone who asked me about it that CIA is not the right place to conduct interrogations.
