That particular path that put NASA on the exploration [science] and discovery [has] not changed, nASA has hundreds of billions of dollars of assets in orbit, and we have human lives in orbit. Space is so important to the human condition on Earth. We are now at a point if we were to lose space, it would be an existential threat to the United States of America, and what that means is: it has to be defended.
